NASHUA, N.H. – The New Hampshire State Police is investigating the death of a man in the Merrimack River. At this time, investigators do not believe the death is suspicious.
At 9:03 p.m., Tuesday, August 12, 2026, Marine Patrol Officers received a report of a person who was possibly in the Merrimack River near the Taylor Falls Bridge on the Hudson/Nashua line.
A coordinated search of the river and surrounding area was conducted for several hours. At approximately 11:23 p.m., search personnel located an unresponsive 34-year-old male. The man was recovered from the water and pronounced deceased.
The identity of the man is being withheld pending the ongoing investigation.

Marine Patrol Officers were assisted by members of the Hudson and Nashua police and fire departments, the Nashua Fire Rescue Dive Team, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
