“This building came about after many years of our teachers just making do with our historic buildings as their primary space to prepare and teach children and adults year-round,” Executive Director Lindsay Jones said. “We had a yurt previously that really was past its useful life.

The museum is now seeking a fourth district ready to add "Airplane Building" to its course line-up for the 2027-28 school year. The plane-build program is open to any educational institution enrolling students of high school age, including public, private, charter, and parochial schools
Unlike many accelerated or online three-year programs, Rivier’s three-year degree programs are entirely on campus and do not require summer enrollment. Students complete a full-time course load during the traditional academic year, graduating one year earlier than students in a four-year program.
Nashua operates 21 public schools and expects about 9,600 students to enroll this year. More than 1,100 employees — including teachers, paraeducators, administrators, food service workers, custodians and operations crew members — work in the district.
“The cost of going back to school is especially hard this year,” said one mother picking up backpacks with her three children. “Sneakers can be 100 bucks, so getting these school supplies really helps, and it’s nice for the kids to have something new and all their own.”
The new facility expands Beaver Brook’s ability to offer year-round programming and education in a fully accessible building. It provides the space needed to support the organization’s growing programs and better serve the community for generations to come.
The book bag program was launched in 1995 by longtime staff member Eileen Brady, making this the 31st year the Soup Kitchen has outfitted local students for the start of the new school year. What began as a modest school-supply drive has grown into one of the organization's largest efforts.
