THE BUENA VISTA ORCHESTRA is the world's foremost Cuban music repertory ensemble - featuring a lineup of musicians from groups like The Buena Vista Social Club, AfroCuban All Stars, the bands of Celia Cruz, Omara Portuondo, Chucho Valdés, Willie Colon & more!
The group's comedians and musicians, whose ancestors hail from the Emerald Isle, include Detroit native Derek Richards; Ohio's Michael Malone; Nova Scotia's Damon Leibert; and Dublin born guitarist and vocalist Colm O’Brien.

Due to the Nor’easter forecasted for Saturday, weekend events are getting canceled and postponed by the minute. So, for the events listed below, please verify with venues that these events are still happening.
This year’s “Fly Me to the Moon” theme transports guests to the golden age of swing. The evening begins with a champagne toast and a reception featuring appetizers and cocktails, followed by a three-course meal with complementary wine in the Bank of America Theater.
The Nashua Farmers Market continues to be a hot spot on Sundays, but keep in mind that the last market Sunday will be October 18. This week, visit your favorite vendors and meet some new faces as well.
“Our annual open house is a great opportunity for kids and families who want to give music a try, or are just curious about what we do here, a chance to see (and play) for themselves in a fun, no-pressure environment, totally free of charge,” said Lindsay Rinaldi, NCMS executive director
Join the fun from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm by coloring in your favorite designs while exploring Downtown. Chalk will be provided by local Main Street businesses and DNA, so all you need to bring is your creativity and enthusiasm.
“The traffic was really good,” Brassard said. “People came to the park to see some art. I think it’s been great. They come into my booth and things are a little different, a little unique and different than what they’ve seen, and the response has been nice.”
Working along three blocks of the trail between Elm and Ash streets, the artists transformed walls, building facades and roughly a dozen large panels, giving the Tree Streets neighborhood a new outdoor gallery.
I want to encourage you to visit the Nashua Farmers Market this Sunday. The weather looks like it will be beautiful and we have a full house in terms of vendors. Nineteen are scheduled to set up and peddle their wares so there will be plenty to choose from, plus live music as always.
“These things attract so many people to a community,” Thomas said. “When people start seeing the beauty of a community, then they start taking care of it more.
rom where we are standing, things look pretty good. We are excited to see many of our newer retail spaces and restaurants thriving. These include Bound Together, Local Street Eats, Pun Thai Kitchen, T&T Way, and others who are breathing new life into the Downtown area.
