HOLLIS, NH— For more than six decades, Beaver Brook Association has been a cornerstone of conservation and outdoor education in the region, protecting land, caring for trails, and creating opportunities for generations of families to connect with the natural world. Marking the organization’s first major investment in its own buildings and facilities, Beaver Brook will celebrate the grand opening of its new Education Building at 117 Ridge Road in Hollis on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
The new Education Building is the centerpiece of Phase I of Beaver Brook’s Transforming Beaver Brook capital campaign and represents the completion of the largest fundraising effort in the organization’s history. Beaver Brook raised $4.1 million from donors, board members, local businesses, volunteers, and community members to fully fund the project.
The new facility expands Beaver Brook’s ability to offer year-round programming and education in a fully accessible building. It provides the space needed to support the organization’s growing programs and better serve the community for generations to come.

“This is a really significant moment for Beaver Brook, and it would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community,” said Lindsay Jones, Executive Director of Beaver Brook Association. “For decades, Beaver Brook has invested in protecting land, caring for our trails, and creating meaningful opportunities for people to connect with nature. This is the first major investment we have made in our buildings and facilities, and it represents an important step forward for the organization. We are incredibly grateful to the donors, board members, volunteers, businesses, and community members who believed in this project and helped us reach our $4.1 million goal. This building gives us a place that reflects the quality of the work happening at Beaver Brook and provides the space, accessibility, and infrastructure we need to serve our community for generations to come.”
The grand opening celebration will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1. The celebration will bring together donors, board members, volunteers, project supporters, local community leaders, members of the Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce, and others who helped make the project possible.
The evening will begin with light refreshments and an opportunity for guests to gather. Opening remarks and the official ribbon cutting will take place at 5:30 p.m., followed by guided tours of the new Education Building.
Members of the press are invited to attend the grand opening, cover the ribbon-cutting ceremony, tour the new facility, and learn more about the project’s impact and Beaver Brook’s future plans. Media representatives interested in attending or arranging an interview with Beaver Brook leadership are encouraged to contact Debbie Johnson, Director of Development at djoshnson@bbanature.org or 603-465-9521 in advance.
The completion of Phase I represents an important milestone in Beaver Brook’s Transforming Beaver Brook campaign. With the new Education Building now open, Beaver Brook looks forward to building on this investment and continuing its mission of conservation, education, and connecting people with the natural world.
