St. Joseph Hospital Earns American Heart Association Recognitions for Quality Patient Care

Awards recognize hospital’s commitment to high-quality stroke and resuscitation care

NASHUA, N.H. — St. Joseph Hospital has earned American Heart Association recognitions for its commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based stroke and resuscitation care.

The hospital received the Get With The Guidelines®–Stroke Gold Plus quality achievement award, Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite recognition, Target: Type 2 Diabetes™ Honor Roll recognition and Get With The Guidelines®–Resuscitation Silver quality achievement award.

Together, the awards recognize St. Joseph Hospital’s commitment to following nationally recognized, research-based guidelines designed to improve patient outcomes.

Ultimately, our goal is to help more patients recover and return home to their families and loved ones.”

St. Joseph Hospital earned Stroke Gold Plus for its commitment to providing timely, appropriate treatment to patients experiencing stroke. The hospital also received Target: Stroke Honor Roll Elite recognition for meeting measures designed to reduce the time between an eligible stroke patient’s arrival and treatment, as well as Target: Type 2 Diabetes Honor Roll recognition for providing evidence-based care to stroke patients with Type 2 diabetes.

The hospital’s Resuscitation Silver award recognizes its achievement in meeting specific quality measures in the treatment of adult patients who experience cardiac arrest while hospitalized. The Get With The Guidelines–Resuscitation program focuses on key elements of care including rapid response to medical emergencies, high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and post-resuscitation care.
