YMCA of Greater Nashua welcomes two new leaders to advance member experience and program innovation

The YMCA of Greater Nashua is a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

The YMCA of Greater Nashua is pleased to announce the addition of two accomplished leaders to its executive team: Karen Meyer as Chief Experience Officer and Robin Ducharme as Vice President of Program Innovation and Quality. Together, they bring decades of leadership experience, a deep commitment to community, and a shared passion for strengthening lives across Southern New Hampshire.

"Karen and Robin each bring unique expertise and a heartfelt commitment to service that align perfectly with our mission," said Joe Manzoli, COO of the YMCA of Greater Nashua. "Their leadership will help us continue creating welcoming spaces where every person can achieve, connect, and belong while ensuring our programs and member experiences remain innovative, impactful, and responsive to community needs."

Karen Meyer Named Chief Experience Officer

As Chief Experience Officer, Karen Meyer will lead efforts to enhance every aspect of the YMCA member journey, ensuring that the voices of members, participants, and community partners help shape the future of the organization.

Karen brings more than 25 years of experience in the software industry, where she built customer-focused cultures centered on exceptional service and meaningful relationships. Throughout her career, she has championed the belief that listening to people and responding to their needs creates stronger organizations and deeper community connections.

Service has been a lifelong calling for Karen. She has served on the Nashua Youth Soccer League Board of Directors and co-founded its youth travel program to create affordable opportunities for local children. She has also dedicated her time to the United Way, Merrimack Valley Hawks FC, and Immaculate Conception Parish.

"Karen's passion for service and her expertise in creating outstanding experiences will help ensure that every member feels welcomed, heard, and valued," said Manzoli. "Her leadership will strengthen our ability to build lifelong relationships with those we serve."

A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Karen lives in Hudson, New Hampshire, with her husband, Steve, and their son, Nick. She believes there is no better place in Southern New Hampshire to make a positive impact than the YMCA.

Robin Ducharme Joins as Vice President of Program Innovation and Quality

Robin Ducharme joined the YMCA of Greater Nashua in April 2026 as Vice President of Program Innovation and Quality. In this role, she will oversee efforts to elevate program excellence, foster innovation, and support staff development across the organization's wide range of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility initiatives.

Robin brings nearly 20 years of experience in health, wellness, and amenity-based program management. Raised in the YMCA movement through her experiences growing up in a North Carolina YMCA, she has a personal connection to the Y's mission and a deep appreciation for the role Y programs play in strengthening individuals and communities.

Throughout her career, Robin has built programs from the ground up, led organizational change, and developed high-performing teams. She is known for her ability to identify opportunities, create strategic solutions, and empower staff to become confident leaders.

"Robin's innovative mindset and commitment to quality will help us continue delivering programs that meet the evolving needs of our community," said Manzoli. "Her passion for helping people thrive in spirit, mind, and body reflects the very best of what the YMCA stands for."

Robin holds a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management with concentrations in Fitness Management and Exercise Science, as well as a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Administration. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Sport Management. Robin lives in Nashua with her husband, son, and their dog, Rocky Balboa.

Strengthening Community Through Leadership

The addition of Meyer and Ducharme reflects the YMCA of Greater Nashua's continued commitment to strengthening communities by connecting people to opportunities, relationships, and resources that help them learn, grow, and thrive.

As the YMCA continues to serve individuals and families throughout Southern New Hampshire, both leaders will play key roles in advancing the organization's mission and ensuring every person who walks through its doors experiences a sense of belonging, purpose, and possibility.

I hated Herman's Hermits growing up.  Their jaunty music irritated me as much as my mother's overplaying it did.  It seemed to us children that we could not be in the car without hearing about sharing an umbrella or a hush all over the world
