CONCORD, N.H. – The New Hampshire Forum has announced that delegates to its upcoming statewide Civic Assembly will focus their deliberations on New Hampshire’s housing future. Approximately 50 randomly selected Granite Staters, chosen to reflect the state’s geographic, demographic, and political diversity, will gather for three days to address housing affordability and homeownership across the state.
The Civic Assembly will take place Friday, September 25 through Sunday, September 27, 2026, at the Grappone Conference Center (70 Constitution Avenue, Concord, NH 03301).
Working alongside cross-partisan organizers from The New Hampshire Forum, as well as technical experts and policy advisors, civic assembly delegates will evaluate three key sub-themes related to housing, then develop supermajority-backed policy proposals to guide state lawmakers ahead of the upcoming legislative session.
This landmark civic assembly represents the culmination of a months-long, statewide civic effort launched earlier this year, to link grassroots public input with actionable policy. It builds directly on the momentum of an intense online deliberative process in Spring 2026, involving tens of thousands of Granite Staters, followed by local and online Community Conversations this Summer, in which hundreds of residents across the state voiced their priorities for legislative action.
By bringing together Granite Staters with different backgrounds and perspectives, the Civic Assembly will turn community input into concrete, cross-partisan recommendations on one of the state’s most pressing quality-of-life issues.
