Manchester, N.H. (August 11) - The New Hampshire Forum today announced the members of its inaugural bipartisan Legislative Advisory Team, bringing together Republicans and Democrats from both chambers to help guide a new statewide effort to strengthen civic engagement and develop citizen-driven policy solutions.
The volunteer team is composed of experienced legislators committed to constructive dialogue and effective governance. Throughout the Forum's inaugural cycle, Legislative Advisors will provide guidance on the legislative viability of citizen-developed proposals, participate in public events, offer feedback during the Civic Assembly process, and help ensure citizen recommendations are informed by legislative experience and positioned for consideration during the 2027 legislative session.
The inaugural Legislative Advisory Team includes:
- Senator Tim Lang, Senate District 2 (R - Sanbornton)
- Senator Tara Reardon, Senate District 15 (D - Concord)
- Representative Mike Bordes, Belknap County District 5 (R - Laconia)
- Representative Dan Veilleux, Hillsborough District 34 (D - Amherst)
- Representative Kim Rice, Hillsborough District 38 (R - Hudson)
- Representative Alicia Gregg, Hillsborough District 7 (D - Nashua)
- Representative Bill Boyd, Hillsborough District 12 (R - Merrimack)
- Representative Jessica Grill, Hillsborough District 18 (D - Manchester)
- Representative Dave Lundgren, Rockingham District 16 (R - Londonderry)
- Representative Loren Selig, Strafford District 10 (D - Durham)
Legislative Advisors say the Forum offers an opportunity to build on New Hampshire’s tradition of citizen participation while creating a constructive pathway for residents to bring ideas to policymakers.
“New Hampshire’s citizen legislature works because people stay engaged. The New Hampshire Forum gives residents another opportunity to roll up their sleeves, work through difficult issues, and bring forward ideas that lawmakers from both parties can seriously consider. I’m proud to be part of that effort,” said State Senator Tim Lang.
For State Senator Tara Reardon, the Forum’s bipartisan approach also provides an opportunity to bring a broader range of voices into the policymaking process.
“The best public policy starts by listening to the people we serve. The New Hampshire Forum creates a meaningful opportunity for citizens from different backgrounds to come together, learn from one another, and develop thoughtful recommendations,” Reardon said. “I’m honored to serve as a Legislative Advisor and help ensure those ideas have a path forward in the Legislature.”
With the addition of the Legislative Advisory Team, the New Hampshire Forum is taking the next step in its effort to put citizens at the center of the legislative process. Legislative Advisors help bridge the gap between the priorities Granite Staters identify together and the legislative action needed to move those priorities forward. They bring experience and insight to help translate bipartisan citizen proposals into meaningful opportunities for action at the State House.
Together with citizens across the state, the Forum is building a new model for civic participation – one grounded in listening, common ground, and the belief that New Hampshire is strongest when its people have a meaningful voice in shaping its future.
