Hosts of The Gregg Show are one of 14 couples nationwide in the final round of a competition benefiting hunger relief and ocean conservation; the couple has pledged to give the $20,000 prize away locally.
NASHUA, N.H. — Alicia and Matty Gregg, hosts of The Gregg Show and Nashua residents, have advanced to the finals of America's Favorite Couple, a national online competition that raises money for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana. The Greggs are one of just 14 couples out of 180,000 remaining nationwide and are currently ranked fifth in the final round.
The winning couple will share their love story in a Variety Magazine advertorial, receive $20,000, and join a triple date with Jeff and Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day and Mary Elizabeth Ellis. The Greggs have said that if they win, the $20,000 will not be going home with them: they plan to place it with a local organization where it can do the most good in the Greater Nashua community.
Alicia Gregg serves as Alderman-at-Large for the City of Nashua and as State Representative for Ward 7 in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. Matty Gregg is an entrepreneur, long distance runner, and serves as a commissioner on Nashua's Board of Public Works. Together they host The Gregg Show, where listeners follow the couple's conversations about family, community, and life in the Gate City.
The couple's story began with a Facebook message. Matty was in the middle of a run across America for firefighter cancer awareness when Alicia, a friend of a friend, wrote to say she was inspired. Hundreds of video messages later and thousands of miles, they married during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the weeks that followed, each of Alicia's three children independently asked Matty to be their dad. In January 2021, a judge made the adoptions official. The couple describes it as the best memory of their lives, times three.
"This is such a fun way to celebrate our journey and be able to give back. Having the community rally behind us and get people talking about Nashua makes it even better,” said Alicia Gregg.
“We adore our love story, and we get to see and celebrate all of the incredible love stories in the competition. It’s a good break from normal Social Media,” said Matty Gregg. America's Favorite Couple is operated by Colossal, a nationally registered professional fundraiser, on behalf of Action Initiative, a registered public charity that grants competition proceeds to the LA Regional Food Bank and Oceana. Voting is free once every 24 hours, and supporters may also cast additional votes through a tax-deductible donation at one vote per dollar. Final-round voting closes Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 7 p.m. PDT.
