NASHUA, NH – The City of Nashua has finalized a new 15-year lease with Granite Diamond, LLC, the ownership group of the Nashua Silver Knights, ensuring the team will continue to call historic Holman Stadium their home through at least the early 2040s.

The lease, unanimously approved by the Board of Aldermen, demonstrates the City's dedication to preserving a beloved historic asset in Nashua. It also emphasizes a robust partnership with the Silver Knights and the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) to ensure an affordable, family-friendly experience.

"This agreement secures the future of summer collegiate baseball in Nashua and ensures that generations of residents and visitors will continue to enjoy America's pastime at Holman Stadium," said Mayor Jim Donchess.

Under the terms of the agreement, the lease will operate as three renewable five-year increments, creating a 15-year partnership that provides long-term assurances for both the City and the Silver Knights.

The new lease includes an approximately 10 percent rent increase over the previous agreement, aligns the City's revenue expectations with stadium usage, and supports the team's operational needs.

"The Silver Knights are thrilled to extend our partnership with the City of Nashua and continue calling historic Holman Stadium our home," said John Creedon, Jr., owner and president of Granite Diamond, LLC, and the Silver Knights.

“For the past 15 seasons, we have proudly created memories for families, fans, players, and visitors, while working together to preserve one of New England’s iconic ballparks. We are deeply grateful to our fans, host families, sponsors, the Futures League, Mayor Donchess, Public Works Director Lisa Fauteux, Parks Superintendent Bryan Conant, and their dedicated staff for helping make Holman Stadium one of New England's great summer destinations. Together we are preserving a beloved community asset while continuing to invest in its future. The best is yet to come."

Built in 1937 and named to honor Nashua’s 19th Mayor, Charles Holman, the stadium has also undergone recent City upgrades, including new lighting, fire suppression, masonry repointing, and a completely renovated press box. Additional improvements, such as refurbishing the locker rooms, are planned for the near future.

"Holman Stadium is more than a baseball venue. It's a gathering place for athletic events, our July 4th fireworks displays, and festivals," said Mayor Donchess. "We appreciate the Silver Knights' commitment to this historic landmark."

The City’s newly formed Holman Stadium Activation Committee will be tasked with identifying even more opportunities for the stadium to host events between games and seasons.

Since their formation in 2011 in Nashua, the Silver Knights have become one of the FCBL's most successful franchises, winning six league championships at Holman Stadium. The club will host the 2026 FCBL All-Star Game on July 21st, showcasing Nashua and the ballpark to fans across New England.
