NASHUA, N.H. — The Front Door Agency held their 38th annual Gourmet Festival and Auction on Sunday April 19th. Hundreds of the nonprofits supporters attended and were fed food provided by 27 local restaurants while they perused on the silent auction items.
Auctioneer John Terrio of Auction Knights/JWT & Associates hosted the live auction that was held in the ballroom of The Event Center at the Nashua Marriott.
Weather conditions have been a bit mixed this week, except for the humidity! It always seems to be humid. I’ve been enjoying my early morning and evening strolls in the gardens–with the shop dogs loping by my side.
Remember when I was dancing at the prospect of rain? Well, you might have noticed we got some! My gardens underwent significant downpours, but the wind caused some damage. Earlier this week, I woke up to find one of my tomatillos flattened to the ground.

This fair is the largest annual fundraiser for the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen and allows them to continue to provide arts advocacy and educational opportunities for their members and the public year-round.
The real goal is to change the way people experience the neighborhoods impacted by a project like this. Public art invites people to slow down. It encourages them to walk instead of driving through, stop inside a neighborhood business, meet an artist, strike up a conversation with a neighbor.
Samantha O’Loughlin, a recent Plymouth State University graduate and Nashua candidate for state representative, said young residents are increasingly being priced out of apartments and homeownership.
Ladder 3 was the first truck on scene, in the rear, with light smoke showing from the roof vents and soffits of a 3-story garden style apartment building. Command was established by Ladder 3. Engine 3 stretched a 1 ¾” hose line to the front door of the building awaiting the location of the fire.
