NASHUA, N.H. — The Front Door Agency held their 38th annual Gourmet Festival and Auction on Sunday April 19th. Hundreds of the nonprofits supporters attended and were fed food provided by 27 local restaurants while they perused on the silent auction items.
Auctioneer John Terrio of Auction Knights/JWT & Associates hosted the live auction that was held in the ballroom of The Event Center at the Nashua Marriott.
“The traffic was really good,” Brassard said. “People came to the park to see some art. I think it’s been great. They come into my booth and things are a little different, a little unique and different than what they’ve seen, and the response has been nice.”
Traversing around the yard and around the local trails, I’ve been seeing so many mushrooms! With the humid weather, mushrooms and fungi can really flourish. At Nashua Farmers’ Exchange, it is not unusual for customers to come in concerned with mushrooms growing in lawns.
I want to encourage you to visit the Nashua Farmers Market this Sunday. The weather looks like it will be beautiful and we have a full house in terms of vendors. Nineteen are scheduled to set up and peddle their wares so there will be plenty to choose from, plus live music as always.

I’ve seen a couple of monarch butterflies gliding around the yard–one even sampled some nectar from my okra’s flowers! My strawflowers and celosia are still in bloom. I’ve been deadheading the strawflower to encourage more buds.
In Nashua, through August, the data indicates that Nashua is continuing to trend downward on an annual basis for suspected opioid ODs at 7% lower than the previous year which would result in a record low.
