First things first. The heat this weekend is going to be oppressive. No matter what you're doing as you enjoy the 4th of July festivities, please be safe.
Stay hydrated, take breaks in cool areas when you can: shade, A/C, a walk-in freezer, whatever you have at your disposal. Check on your elderly friends and neighbors. Wear sunscreen. All that jazz, because heat stroke is no joke. And while we're on the subject, please keep your pets safe as well. Leave them home with plenty of water if you can and do not leave them in vehicles.
Speaking of festivities, there are going to be great things happening ALL DAY at Holman Stadium on Saturday. The baseball game starts at 10:30AM and kids under 13 get in FREE. Additionally, you've got kiddy rides from 12-8PM, a Slakas concert at 6PM, Nashua Hall of Fame inductions at 8PM, Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps at 8:30PM, and FIREWORKS at dusk.Take a look below at other fun goings-on for the upcoming week.Stay cool and I’ll see ya Downtown!
