Nashua candidates advance unopposed from primary to November election
NASHUA, N.H. — Candidates for Nashua’s seats in the New Hampshire House and Senate were selected in Tuesday’s primary election and will advance to the Nov. 3 general election.
All candidates seeking Nashua-area seats ran unopposed in their respective Republican or Democratic primaries.
Nashua is divided among two New Hampshire Senate districts. Senate District 12 and Senate District 13.
Nashua has 27 representatives in the New Hampshire House, with each of the city’s nine wards electing three representatives. The city is represented by Hillsborough County House districts 3 through 11.
State Senate races
Senate District 12: Republican incumbent Kevin Avard will face Democrat Carryl L. Roy in the November general election. The district includes Nashua Wards 1, 2 and 5 with the towns of Brookline, Greenville, Hollis, Mason, New Ipswich, and Rindge
Senate District 13: Republican Daniel J. Paul will face Democrat Laura Telerski in the race for the open seat being vacated by state Sen. Cindy Rosenwald. The district includes Nashau Wards 3,4,6,7, 8 and 9 and does not include any other towns.
State House races
House District 3: The Ward 4 district includes Republican John Menyhard, will face Democratic incumbent Fred Davis, Michael P. Aksten and Suzanne A. Beaulieu.
House District 4: The Ward 2 district includes Democratic incumbent Linda Vandercar Ryan, with Renae Lias and Camille Pattison, who will face Republican Shawn Martin.
House District 5: The Ward 1 district includes Republican Paul Schibbelhute, will face Democratic incumbents Dale Swanson, Heather Raymond and Susan A. Elberger.
House District 6: The Ward 3 district includes Republicans Doris Hohensee, Elena Pavlou, and Daniel Richardson, will face Democratic incumbent Lee Ann Kluger, with Michele Roussel Buckley and Adam R. Thompson.
House District 7: The Ward 7 district includes Democratic incumbent Louis C. Juris with Charlene Bangs Pedersen and Jim Mahoney, who will face Republicans Avalon Lewis, and Roy H. Parker.
House District 8: The Ward 6 district includes Democratic incumbents Christal Lloyd and Efstathia C. Booras, with Frances Nutter-Upham, who will face Republican Travis Tripodi.
House District 9: The Ward 5 district includes Democratic incumbents Santosh D. Salvi and Sanjeev K. Manohar, with Rich Green, who will face Republican Joseph Cole.
House District 10: The Ward 9 district includes Democratic incumbents Marty Jack and Linda Harriott-Gathright, with Samantha O’Loughlin, who will face Republican Bill Ohm.
House District 11: The Ward 8 district includes Democratic incumbents Manoj Chourasia and Will Darby, with Arya Shams, who will face Republican Kristie Hart.
EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
Incumbent Republican David Wheeler and will run against Melanie Levesque for the New Hampshire Executive Council District 5 which represents Nashua and multiple towns and cities across the southern and western parts of the state.
