Nashua Kicks Off Four-Day 'Renaissance on the River' Celebration

Public events and performances continue through Memorial Day weekend. Highlights include a drone show Saturday night, the opening of the Downtown Nashua Association Farmers Market on Sunday — which will feature a petting zoo — and the traditional Memorial Day Parade on Monday morning.

NASHUA, NH- The city opened its four-day celebration of the newly renovated Le Parc de Notre Renaissance (Renaissance Park) on the bank of the Nashua River downtown Friday night.

Public events and performances continue through Memorial Day weekend. Highlights include the Duck Regatta, a drone show Saturday night, the opening of the Downtown Nashua Association Farmers Market on Sunday — which will feature a petting zoo — and the traditional Memorial Day Parade on Monday morning.

Renovation of the Renaissance Park began in early 2025 and was completed this spring. The "La Dame" statue remained in place, wrapped and protected throughout construction. The project includes boardwalks along and over the river, a performance pavilion and ADA accessibility improvements.

The park renovation is one component of the Downtown Riverfront Development Project, an initiative of the Imagine Nashua Master Plan. The broader project includes a 1.6-mile riverfront loop connecting downtown Nashua to the Nashua River through parks, boardwalks and public spaces.

The rock 'n' roll band 4R Souls performs at the Renaissance on the River celebration Friday in Nashua. In the background is a new mural to be dedicated Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Dan Splaine / The Nashua Independent
