Nashua Aldermen weigh housing needs, Camping Ban Backlash while advancing city infrastructure deals
The Board of Aldermen on July 14 approved three major contracts and advanced several housing and public policy measures, including a reworked redevelopment plan for the city-owned Nimco mill site and a proposed new homeless services gap analysis committee.

Nashua BOA approves remote public comment for people with disabilities
Alderman-at-Large Ben Clemons then offered the successful amendment, broadening the disability definition, assigning eligibility decisions to risk management and setting the effective date. He said the monthlong lead time would allow city departments to prepare.
Nashua approves $43.5 million bond for public works garage
Resolution R-26-072 authorizes the mayor and city treasurer to issue bonds for the facility’s design, construction and equipment. The proposal reached the board with recommendations for passage from the Budget Review Committee and the Board of Public Works.

I live less than a mile from City Hall. Even with that advantage, getting there requires planning. For residents farther away, with fewer resources or different disabilities, the barriers can be considerably greater.
