Gate City Casino donates $67,506 to Downtown Nashua Association

Gate City Casino presented a $67,506 check to the Downtown Nashua Association to support the nonprofit’s programs and events.

NASHUA, N.H. — Gate City Casino presented a $67,506 check to the Downtown Nashua Association to support the nonprofit’s programs and events.

The donation represents 50% of the casino’s operating profits during a seven-day period. The remaining 50% also was donated to a qualifying nonprofit organization.

New Hampshire casinos are required to donate 35% of daily table-game proceeds to licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations under New Hampshire Lottery Commission regulations.

The Downtown Nashua Association, formerly known as Great American Downtown, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to revitalize, promote and unify downtown Nashua.

The funds will support community programming, local-business promotion and event management.
