BROOKLINE, N.H. - Brookline police, Brookline Fire and Brookline Ambulance Service were dispatched to the area on Route 13, just South of Quimby Road Tuesday at 5:02 pm.
On arrival they found 2 passenger vehicles and a logging truck had a collision. The logging truck which was traveling North went off the road taking down utility poles and several power lines. Initially the availability of a medical helicopter was requested, however cancelled.
The driver was conscious, breathing and alert and was advised to remain in the cab of the truck due to the live wires entangled with the truck. Milford Fire was requested to respond to the scene with their heavy rescue.

Eversource was notified and arrived at the scene within 30 minutes and began de-energizing the power lines which required substantial work.
At 7:15 pm the power was shut off and the driver was removed. With assistance from first responders, he was brought to a waiting ambulance where he was evaluated and appeared to have non-life-threatening injuries.
NH Department of Environmental services were notified due to diesel fuel leaking from the truck.
Rt 13 remained closed for several hours during the incident, and while Eversource worked to make repairs. Sources said at the scene the truck was hauling logs from Gardner, MA, the truck had New Hampshire plates.
